
Founded in 1997, the Human Science Center (HWZ) concentrates on interdisciplinary research; in particular research topics that include competence from the humanities, the sciences and the arts are promoted.
The most general goal of the Human Science Center is to better understand anthropological universals and cultural specifics. The consistent interdisciplinary and international approach of the Human Science Center is without precedence in Germany.

The know-how provided by this network is made available for the public through lecture series and book publications.
