F.PAK:  Innovation and Learning
F.PAK:  Innovation and Learning

Innovations emerge from the combination of different findings: from research
to possible applications to the market. Innovation processes link persons
and institutions of heterogeneous contexts. Understanding these processes as learning processes opens up new possibilities in shaping frameworks and processes for the evolution of innovation.

We would like to invite you to share and develop your views, comments and ideas with Professor Dr. Marion Weissenberger-Eibl, Kassel University & ISI Karlsruhe, and other guests and members of the Human Science Center on February 8th 2010 at 6 pm at Seminarraum CO.O7 (Seminarraum 7), Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, Schillerstr. 46 (Entrance Pettenkoferstr. 12) in Munich.

This event is encouraged by an impulsive talk on "Innovation and Learning" by the speaker Professor Dr. Marion Weissenberger-Eibl.

New insight of Neuroscience - musical education, cognitive function and the neuro-biology of emotion perception

A sensible music education can influence mental functions and significantly modulate emotional reactions. These findings come from a neuro-imaging study which has been recently conducted by the neuroscientist Prof. Dr. Ernst Pöppel, together with the musicologist Prof. Dr. Lorenz Welker and their team.

Association of Neuroesthetics
Association of Neuroesthetics
Sciences, Humanities and the Arts have made remarkable progress in recent decades, but have so far not been able to combine forces. The Association of Neuroesthetics is a platform for Art and Neuroscience. Its aim is to bring together both the knowledge acquired and the methods employed by contemporary artists and neuroscientists in order to work towards a shared language.

Managers need not only be able to analyze the situation of their company - they have to draw the right conclusions, select an optimal business strategy and engage their employees in execution. Our thinking and the way our brain works plays a decisive role in this process. But in times of accelerating change, and rapidly increasing complexity, we can no longer rely on conventional thought patterns. Managers need authentic thinking and to take neuroscience into account. How do emotions change our thinking? How to lead? What motivates us? How do we learn best? Ernst Pöppel is a leading brain researcher and has studied how the human brain works and what thinking is, for decades. In "Zum Entscheiden geboren", he presents the latest findings of brain research, and makes them available for managers. Reading this book will enable to think clearly, make better decisions and to communicate in a convincing way that others can relate to. Link zu amazon.
